The proportion of clever yet unbalanced human beings on

emotionally immature? The academically gifted my be clever, but what the
world needs is intelligence. There is a need for a fundamental educational
revolution.
A degree even when it is deserved - which is not always
necessarily the case - does not automatically mean competence.
Proficiency in a restricted branch, yet feeling
completely out of your depth when it comes to dealing with the vast
expanse of data that lies before and within you in countless other fields,
you call that competent?
The notion of
expert/competence needs to be redefined. Besides, a highly competent
expert in a very focussed area may not be all that useful
anymore.
Holistic
multicultural integrated
interdisciplinary competence cannot be achieved through existing
conventional educational programs. This requires Interface
Education.
A general introduction to interfaces was presented in the book "The
Interface Paradigm". The first edition sold out long ago. The
book
was to serve to invite interactive local, regional, national and
international discussions with the public (whatever the background, ethnic
origin and condition) relayed by the Press and TV/Radio programs on the
internal dysfunctions of The System, the object being to improve World
Society Well Being and Quality of Life. A second edition is under
preparation but in the meantime we can examine what IS and
what IS NOT working in World Society. Considering the present world
situation, a thorough holistic integrated interdisciplinary study across
frontiers of the latter is not only essential but urgent.

is important is what and how you 'know' (whatever that is
supposed to mean...), not so much the degree as such.
Life is a fascinating and beautiful process essentially
based on a dynamic exchange of information. Poor communication creates
problems everywhere. So... Let's communicate and share our knowledge!
InfoDiagnosis is a precursor
of the Customised Interactive Software (CIS) Project that forms part of
the International
Multidisciplinary Neuroscience Research Centre's (IMNRC's)
Interface Education
Programme. We shall soon be around ten billion human beings on this
planet and there shall never be enough institutions to train ten billion
human beings. Another fact is that sending your daughter/son to a
University is no guarantee that she/he shall come out competent. Good
pedagogues are a rare species. CIS adapts the material to be assimilated
according to the student's own understanding grid. This means that in the
medium, long, hopefully maybe even short term, any person shall be able to
acquire professional competence in any subject of his/her choice, prove
his/her competence to a potential employer and get the job,
short-circuiting the University entirely. Why go to a school or university when you can acquire
all the necessary skills at home without having to live through the
psychological stress, despotism and arrogance of academic institutions? Top/standard
World Universities shall be replaced by top/standard World CIS. The status
of schools and universities shall change. They shall still be useful for
practical applications and as brainstorming hubs, but as structured today,
they shall disappear. The Educational System shall at long last
lose its hold on the citizens' future, not to mention on society
altogether.
